Objectives

At the end of the course the student will be able to:

- Analyze the developments that led to the information society and the digital age

- Identify the risks associated with these technologies and the security approaches that enable them to be mastered

- Illustrate the main ethical issues associated with the development of the digital society

Contents

Through an interdisciplinary approach, the course offers elements of understanding of cyberspace, the Internet and the digital ecosystem.

The course is structured around the following themes:

- Origins of the Internet and its Evolution

- Economic and political aspects of the Internet

- Technical bases of the Internet

- Stakes and challenges of the Internet development

- Privacy and mass surveillance issues

Pre-requisites

For pedagogical and supervisory reasons the course is limited to
Maximum 50 students.

To have followed and validated these two lessons:

- Information systems - Prof. Y. Pigneur

- Risk Management - Prof. J. Wagner

Basic knowledge of the Internet.

Ability to process, analyze, synthesize and release information in French.

Need to be fluent in French

The course is given in French and all the course material is in French.
