In the beginning the course is based on lectures and exercises in order to pave the ground for the case studies at the later part of the course. The exercises cover basic supply chain management issues through simple calculations on pipeline inventories and related costs, and how they change when the supply chain structure is altered. In addition to the formal exercises several real world company cases are worked out. We will have also couple guest lecturers on some special supply chain management issues. Students are to work out a homework, which are presented along the term.

Homework :

Student groups, the size of which remains to be decided, are to work out some key articles concerning the latest developments in supply chain management. The message of these articles should be presented in concise manner and applied to some real world business case. The report should not exceed 10 pages (1.5 line spacing) and should be delivered with the slides to the assistant before the last session of the course.
