Objectifs

The purpose of this course is to make masters students at UNIL acquainted with Game Theory and some of its applications.

Contenus

First, we will study the basic solution concepts used to solve games, namely: Dominance, Iterated Deletion of Dominated Strategies, Rationalizability, Nash Equilibrium, Backward Induction, Subgame Perfect Equilibrium, Bayesian Nash Equilibrium and Perfect Bayesian Equilibrium.

In addition to these classical game theory concepts, we will study some matching theory and market design applications. An important part of this course will be the writing of a short paper on game theory or market design (theoretical or applied) and its presentation at the end of the semester.
