Objectives

The objective of the course “Financing Analysis” is to bring a thorough understanding of the key issues revolving around a company and its stakeholders through the work of a financial analyst. Using both textbook and practical examples, the course will bring students tools and techniques to analyze a company and its business environment in order to reach a potential investment decision. The course builds on the topics covered by the “Financial Accounting” course (4.1) and is run in parallel with the “Valuation” course (4.2) to provide students with strong building blocks pertaining to company, industry and market assessments. The content of the course is based on relevant sections of the CFA® curriculum as well as additional case studies and occasional readings.
