Objectives

In this course, we will cover some important economic applications of mathematical logic. As illustration, we will touch upon a few fundamental concepts in economics, including seminal results in social choice, bargaining, and cooperative games.

Contents

1. Social choice: The theory of preferences

2. Important results in social choice theory, including Arrow’s impossibility theorem

3. Bargaining, including Nash bargaining

4. Cooperative games, including the Shapley value
